Has anyone ever heard of this manga/anime/J-drama? It's amazing!
From Anime News Network QUOTE Kumiko "Yankumi" Yamaguchi enters Shirokin Gakuen Private School to become a math teacher. She's assigned as the homeroom teacher for class 2-4, populated by a gang of delinquents. At first, the class tries everything to rattle her cage, but to no avail. In a short period of time, Yankumi gains the respect of the class. But what the school doesn't know is that she's the heir to the Oedo Group, a powerful Yakuza clan. So while Yankumi struggles to excel in her career as a teacher, she must also keep her Yakuza background a secret. The anime and manga are more comical while the drama is a bit romantic (but still side-splittingly funny) I suggest that everyone check it out! Youtube is your friend!!! |

oh my god. gokusen is amazing. i'm currently watching the second season of the drama. you know, downloading it whenever it gets subbed.

the bittorrent! =) speaking of bittorrent, do you know how to work it yet? you've watched both seasons already? lucky you. i'm gonna wait to download them instead of watching them on youtube because...i like possesing things. hahaha oh my gosh, shun oguri; jun matsumoto; kazuya kamenashi; jin akanishi; mokomichi hayami...and teppei koike for his adorability.  if you like shun oguri and jun matsumoto, you should totally watch hana yori dango, too.i likes me some j-drama.

I watched this in Starz (they have an anime showing every weekday at 12:30-1:30 am) and I liked it. It's funny, the thing is i can only watch the dubbed version so it sounds real bad D:

^ The anime is hilarious, too. I usually hate dubs, but the English dub for this one cracks me up! I guess it's the balance between complete stupidity and the attempt to make it sound even remotely badass. Oh, side-splitting if you ask me.

i have it its so kewl HAS ANY ONE SEEN THE LIVE ACTION ITS SUPA ALSUM i cant wait to say saikano live action i want it....has any one seen or heard of SAIKANO......it is truly one of the sadest of the sadest animes i have ever seen i recommend it to all!!! oh and warning.....believe me....you will cry from watching it and U WILL WANT TO BE IN A LOVE RELATIONSHIP!

I've been reading scans for the manga, and even though the art is pretty terrible in the beginning, in later volumes it smoothes out. I really like the story, here. Yes, the drama was awesome. Yes, the anime was funny, but I think you're really missing out if you don't get to the manga.

i just finished watching the second season, and i must say: i LOVED the ending. i especially liked episodes 8 and 9.
 ryu and hayato. the last episode was amazing. makes me wish i had a teacher like yankumi sometimes. oh, and the very, very end (like the last few minutes) made me laugh. XD
