I never see the "do you like or hate rock" you know why? becuase people that dont like rock dont want to offend the people that like rock. but you people that like rock just dont care about the people that like rap so you rant about it and look if your gonna say something. keep it to your damn self. This is true, but sometimes never. I like rock, but I don't go off talking off people because they like rap. People are entitled to their opinions, but I do have to agree, some people judge quickly before opening their eyes to see the good things about rap.

I 100$ hate rap. How is it music? No Dumbs... guitar? It is all computer generated... a turn-table does not count as a band. All they sing about is girls,money,cars, and sex. Or shootings and being a "wanksta". Ahh... very annoying.

mainstream is only what you hear. If you were to hear other songs that aren't over played on MTV and your "IT" station where you live, you would see that is not it. Plus most rap is not played with a turn table and has having a guitar in a song equat to music?

I also like rap that isn't degrading anyone like stuff you might hear only on your local station until they hit mainstream. Like Crime Mob's song Knuck if U Buck, dumb song but good beats, good rapping, and no degrading stuff. Also Franchize's song White T. Once again dumb song but good beats, good rapping, and no degrading stuff. Plus Twista, Kayane West, the good stuff. Not Jay Z and Snoop(HATE them), 50 is washed up or any of that stupid stuff

I like rap... but some songs are kinda dumb... I dun like Kayne Wests' beats at all... they all have that high pitched lil girl or whatev in the background and it's annoying... his lyrics are good but i just dont like the beats... >_< And Jay Z is alrite... Agreed. I didn't know why everyone was actually fussin over him when his black album came out... best rapper alive? i don't think so, but then again, there aren't that many good rappers alive anymore, so that title would mean nothing.

well i dont like the mainstream image they are portraying. there is some (rarely) i like, but i seriously don't like it when snoop dog shows up at the mtv video music awards with two girls with collars on and leashes around their necks. i also don't really like the music videos where like two or three guys have a bunch of "hoes" around them... i just think it's degrading to women.

which is why i dont like the music on mtv, and i'm oh such a rocker
