I'm ridiculously proud of myself for actually committing myself to do a vexel. I've started at least five, but I never really got past the skin, so this is what I would call my first. And I'm ridiculously proud of myself because it actually resembles the original, and because I think the eye actually looks good. Critique?

(Oh yeah, and yes, the skin looks choppy. I'm haven't put in ANY transition layers, so it looks like crap.)

it's very good! my only critique would be to try to not follow the posterization lines so closely, and add transition layers to make the vexel smoother. great job!

That is amazing for a first!
more layers and dont be afraid to lower the opacity of the layers so the colors blend better!
great job so far
