So when I go to certain websites, a thing pops up that says: Click to run an ActiveX control on this webpage. And even if I click yes or exit out, another window pops up saying it's an error and it closes the window. It does that a lot, it's annoying. How do I modify Active X?

It's your firewall. I'm sure of it. I had this problem a while ago.
You have to change the preferences of your firewall to allow ActiveX. |

I have Norton Firewall and I configured it by clicking on the taskbar icon and changing the level to default.
What firewall do you use? |

I use the Windows Firewall. Um, I tried going on Tools>Internet Options>Security and put the security level to High but now it eliminates parts of the webpage.

Oh, so if it's only Windows Firewall, it means that you have SP2 so you're gonna have to change it from your internet options.
Control Panel > Security Center > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level Download signed ActiveX controls > Prompt Run ActiveX controls and plugins > Enable Script ActiveX controls marked for safe scripting > Enable It should work after that. If it doesn't you're gonna have to configure the settings for your browser. |
