Ok. so here's there story. This summer I met a guy at a camp... and I ended up falling in love with him because he made me happy like no one else ever could and it feels like no one else can ever make me feel the same. So we were going out basically all summer and it was hard because he lives 2 hours away but I still wanted it to work, and so did he. Things were going great for a while and I was the happiest I've ever been. But soon he stopped saying "I love you" & "I miss you" and I felt things falling appart. It turns out he cheated on me..but I still wanted to be with him because i still loved him.. dont ask why.. I have no idea why. He knew I still wanted him and he messed with me a lot.. A lot of my friends and other people knew what was going on with us because I vent to my friends.. so they obviously tell me "you're so much better than him" & "he doesnt deserve you".. and stuff like that. but then he and I kinda became friends again after a little time but I still wasnt over him.. and Idk what happend but we just stopped talking eventually. and I thought I was getting over him. Recently he's appologised for everything he did to me and told me that he still loves me and always has and he said he wants to be with me again. And now I dont know what to do... because everyone will disown me if I go back out with him.. some people have told me they'd stop talking to me or they'd loose all respect for me if I went back to him. I really want to be with him again because I want to be happy again.. but in a way I will be unsatisfied because a lot of people will hate me for doing it.. I cant even talk to my best friends about it because they're already convinced that he's the scum of the earth, they cant see it from my perspective..yah know?..

.. I'm so lost.

aww. ermm.gif this one is a toughie. i'd stick with your friends. friends are forever, boyfriends aren't. and i'm sure you'll eventually find some other guy that makes you happy like this other guy does. if you still don't like my advice, for now tell him you need to think, meanwhile wait for other replies. i'd personally let this guy down. _unsure.gif

I'd have to agree with her ^
I wouldn't go back to him either. You could try, I guess. You could find out if he's still the one who makes you all happy and whatnot. Go with your gut. Your friends mean a lot, but if you could possibly convince them that he should deserve a second change, then maybe okay. You have to know that you're putting yourself at risk again here. Go for it if you're willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and know the worst case scenario of going through the same thing all over again.

Question: Has he recently broken up with a girlfriend?
If yes: He's using you as rebound. He probably didn't love you this whole time. Don't fall for it.

If not: Get over it. He isn't " the one. " Don't give him another try.

I would have to say that you shouldn't get back together with him. It was already hard enough to maintain your relationship since it was a long-distance one, and who's to say he won't cheat again once you start going out again? I don't believe that all cheaters will cheat twice, but it's better not to risk it. No matter how much you liked him and how amazing he was, there's always someone better. Because if he really did love you like he says he does, he wouldn't have cheated no matter how great the temptation.
You're better off finding someone else who lives closer to you.
