Alright, so I used to hangout with a big group of people. I got in a fight with one of the girls a month ago or so, let's call her Ego. Then I noticed that another friend wasn't talking to me (also a girl) Silent. These two girls were my closest friends, other than my best friend. I didn't know why Silent stopped talking to me for a while, but I tried so hard to fix things with her. In the end, she gave me an attitude so I dropped it. I moved on with my life and left them alone. By the way, this whole time, my best friend was caught in the middle since she was close friends with them too. Let's call her BF.
Well today, I was cruising around MySpace and found this comment Ego sent her friend. It talked about how I'm such a bitch. She said I talked shit about her, cheer, and her boy friend. But really, all I said was: "All you talk about now is cheer and Bob." His name is not really Bob. Anyway, she started calling me ugly and an attention seeker. Oh! And you can't forget FAKE! Anyway the point of this was she wrote this ugly comment that wasn't even close to the truth and made a big deal out of it. I made BF read it and all she said was "Well it was wrong for her to bring it up when you're already minding your own business." That's when I realized.. how come she doesn't have my back? I told her that, and she said, "Well, I can't choose sides. Ego is my friend too. I don't wanna say anything and make it worse." I told her I didn't want her to choose sides. I didn't know what I wanted her to do. But really, best friends are suppose to have your back right? She would get mad at people when they talk about her other friends, so why is it different this time? I'm her best friend but she chooses them over me now. She never hang out with me anymore. I was willing to do anything for her, I almost beat the shit out of this one girl for her. So why can't she even say "Stfu" or something to Ego. I don't know. I'm doubting my friendship with her. And I think I got her mad. What should I do? What would you do if your best friend was like that? Would you leave her thinking she's not really a best friend, or what? I have the right to be mad at her, but at the same time, I can't. I don't want to lose her. |

i think thats a friend you need to drop.
beacause she has not made one single effort to defend you. i had a supposed best friend who did that. and i droped her beacsue i had enough she didnt care about what happend to me jsut like your BF dosnt care about you and what happens. its not taking a side. but its really jsut a atempt to protect your dignity. but they [my former bf and yours] lack the capicity to do that. in the end . smash your best friends ego by never talking to her again. and ignore the drama by some ignorant silly girls. no one takes anything serious on myspace |

Well, you obviously can't force her to be on your side. I'd do just what she was doing except I'd defend you more. I guess your best friend could tell Ego to shut up, but it all depends on Ego's personality. Ego might just turn around and say, "you're just like her. i shouldn't be your friend either" or something along those lines. Any little thing might trigger her to be like that. (I'm assuming you're calling her Ego just because it describes her.) Saying anything to Ego may jeopardize their friendship as well. Are you sure she's your "best" friend?
If I was in your position, I'd probably just drop everything [even your so-called best friend] and just forget about it. It's not worth the drama. |

What should I do? What would you do if your best friend was like that? You let it go. What's wrong with your relationship with her is that you expect her to do stuff that she obviously can't do. Best friends aren't obligated to bitch out anyone that talked smack about you. That's just not what they do. And what ever happened to the days where friendship was unconditional?
Would you leave her thinking she's not really a best friend, or what? No. I have the right to be mad at her, but at the same time, I can't. I don't want to lose her. You don't have the right, so stop. If you don't want to lose her, stop pushing her away. |

i believe that "best friends" is an over rated term, and should be eliminated from the human language.
usually, "best friends" end up in a big bitch fight. and oh man. i've had PLENTY of those. but best friends tell the truth, no matter what happens. and if you want to remain bffs, you have to respect her for her opinons/decisons. but if she starts being a little douche like Ego, than forget her. if she starts making drama, just ignore her and her posse. or just kick the living shit out of 'em all. :D thats what i would do. because im violent. >:D hahahah. people in this world are 2faced, and it's terrible. but just remember.... KARMA. good luck with everything, love! |

Yeah, I suppose I agree with everyone else.
Just leave BF alone for a bit, see if she tries to help or comfort you eventually. If she doesn't and/or starts to side with Ego, then drop that chick. I agree about "best-friends" being over-rated. To me, it look edlike Ego and Silent were just (close?) friends, not best friends. Best friends wouldn't just drop you like that. BF seems to be on the border. To me she wants to help, but at the same time she may not care that much or is siding with Ego a bit. Either way, I don't think she's your best friend. I, myself, do not have ANY best friends. I did back in middle girl, and I'm telling you, my friend Leah is what you call a best friend. When my first boy friend freaked with some other girl, she cursed out the guy like he was caught in bed with the girl. And whenever I was having an issue with anything, no matter who it was with, she had my back. No doubt. That's what a best friend is, someone who is there for you no matter what. They should be able to comfort you but at the same time knock some sense into you. In the end, it's up to you. I say drop them all, but MAYBE give BF some time to see if she's come to her senses. If not, down the toilet she goes. They aren't worth your precious time. |

hi guys, i just want to say that i fixed things with my best friend. she's the type of person who avoids fights and is really nice to everyone. i understand her now and we forgive each other. i'm planning to make up with silent because i found out that our situation was just a big misunderstanding. ego can keep doing what she wants. i don't care. she's not a real friend. thank you guys for the advices.
