Hmm, it is possible to have two domains that share the same space under one hosting plan ?
Like on my cpanel in one of my domains, I have this thing called "Addon Domains".. what's that do :O Then it says "Hint: This feature must be enabled for your account before you can use it. Addon Domains will not be functional unless the domain name is registered with a valid registrar and configured to point to our DNS servers. " Does that mean I can have two domains on one hosting plan/sharing the same space ?! Or is that completely impossible ? |

I have that too, and I was thinking about making an mb but I'm not sure if I'd have to have a seperate hosting plan or what.

Yea its possible. I did it with my old/current host. Most times the hosting company tells you how many domains you can host. Look at the site you got hosted, look at your plan, that should tell you whether or not you have addon domains or not.

If you bought your domain from another place other than where you are hosted you need to change the name servers of that domain to the nameservers of your host.
This tells you how to enable add on domains: Just try it out but are you able to click New add on domain? Because if you are, and you can add all the info then its already enabled or should be. |

Okay I registered both of my domain names from 1and1.com.. and I ordered my hosting from networkredux.com.
My first domain is called blissko.com and this is how it looks like in the cpanel.. ![]() Then when I click on "Add on Domains" ![]() My second domain is blissfeet.com In my 1and1.com account settings, I have both of the DNS servers from both domains configured to the networkredux servers.. Is that what I'm suppose to do ? Or do I configure the blissfeet.com one to blissko.com o_O |

Yea your supposed to change the nameservers. Sometimes they take a long time but once you do it you are ready to add the domain.
http://www.cpanel.net/docs/cpanel/Adding_addon_domains.htm I don't have Cpanel with either of my current hosts. So I can't give you my own instructions. Sorry. |

I change the nameservers to the same one as my blissko.com for blissfeet.com and I get this error:
' Addon Domain Maintenance Addon Domain Additions Bind reloading on lexington using rndc zone: [blissko.com] Bind reloading on yorktown using rndc zone: [blissko.com] Bind reloading on valleyforge using rndc zone: [blissko.com] Bind reloading on thames using rndc zone: [blissko.com] The subdomain, blissfeet.blissko.com has been added. Error from park wrapper: blissfeet.com is already configured. Removed Entry from httpd.conf The subdomain, blissfeet.blissko.com has been removed. blissfeet.com could not be setup. The subdomain blissfeet.blissko.com was not setup either. " |

Thats odd. I went through alot of support forums and came across This. or ThisThat guy had the same problem you have. If you did the same thing he did, then yours is correct. So that means you might want to try adding a support ticket too.
Yea maybe try that? I'll keep looking into it . With my hosts it as a bit different and the 2 domains I hosted went in good. Bleh I wish I could help more. |
