In a whisper I notice thy light,

I notice light's change, and I fear.

For months, the light has consumed,

Enlightened, and overjoyed me so.

At first, my guard still raised high,

Yet soon broken by all around.

At this point, nirvana feeds on my life,

All which is evil, is banished, seen no more.

When life was sought to be heaven,

A distortion is seen by my worrying eyes.

Suddenly the demons called perfection and doubt,

Ambush me, knocking me down off guard.

I fight these demons, with the help of common sense and love,

I fight them secretly, as if nirvana is still true.

Soon, my arms are too weak to go on,

My fortress of light has been destroyed.

I weep, as I cannot ask of symbolism,

I weep, for I hunger for thou light.

All of my definitions of light, still true,

Yet I fear the other is not the same.
