Hey guys. My Physics teacher just assigned us a project today, and I need some help.

We have to make a musical instrument completely out of edible materials.

This instrument will have to be able to play "Mary Had A Little Lamb" in G Major, therefore the notes we'll be dealing with are B, A, G and D.

I was thinking of some type of vegetable, and, if time allows for it, some kind of candy. I'm thinking of doing hollowed-out cucumber/carrot flutes or a flute made out of hardened caramel, or something, but I'm totally clueless about what kind and size of holes I need.

Anyone got any more ideas on what I could possibly do/use? Or, possibly, execution advice?

Thanks in advance! _smile.gif

Physics is NOT my forte but I'll see if I can come up with anything worth mentioning. Just a question before I do: have you learned about air columns yet?

^ Nope, not yet. This project is related with frequency and resonance of musical notes and instruments. The whole jist of it is to get the correct frequencies for each note, nothing more than that.

Thanks for the help so far. =)
