So I'm stuck in Raleigh for the next 10 hours or so until I can get a flight out to Seattle that will then take me to Japan. Its time to kill some time.

I'm going to keep it gutter tonight. I'm going to go huntin' for the first liquor store so I can get a 40.

To help drown out the frustrations of my flight issues and to shield my own sorrows of leaving home once again, I took it upon myself to wander away from the airport and see what I could get myself into on a Wednesday night in Raleigh. I had already been flying from San Antonio to Orlando and then here (Raleigh), so I was already tired. I found out the UNC was playing Ohio State and saw that as an opportunity to drink some happiness into the evening. 40 dollars later, I arrived in the sleepy little town of Chapel Hill. Its an absolutely quaint college town with a metropolitan feel to it.

The first bar I managed to find was called the Blue Horn lounge, or something to that effect. I wasted no time. I ordered a beer first because I figured that once I was getting thin in the pockets it was time for me to stop driniking. After a few beers, two Tom Collins and an Apple Martini. I paid my tab, tipped rather generously, then hit the street to find an afterparty. The sleepy town was definitely awakened because the Heels pulled off a solid victory over Ohio State, knocking them out of the #1 spot.

I walked about a block or two, talking to people casually but still looking for a hotspot. No luck. Maybe because I wasn't looking hard enough or maybe because veryone suggested the same 3 bars. I didn't see the point in going to another one when I just came from one (and it was quite nice, too). As I made up my mind and smoked a couple squares, another lonely traveller asked me for a light and we made our moves back to the bar I had just left.

More Tom Collins.

Chris... or something like that. Really laid back guy who wanted nothing more than to get wasted but didn't want to go to a house party. He bought a round, I bought a round, he bought a round, I bought a round and 4 Tom Collins later. I was officially drunk. We left, ran into a few women, talked, flirted, then went with them to another bar. This bar was crowded, musty and mixed drinks very poorly but I wasn't paying for drinks anymore and I loved the eye candy. After another Martini, the room started spinning. Better yet, I felt likee i was in the middle of a tornado.

We're not in Kansas anymore, Toto.

I never display such reckless irresponsibility when I drink. I know my limits. Perhaps the circumstances contributed to me just letting all types of loose or perhaps it was me drinking on an empty stomach. Whatever the case, I managed to hop a cab back to the airport, stumble into the USO, post drunkenly online, then pray to the porcelain God. And the worse thing about it is; I'm still in Raleigh. Hell, I could built an airplane and flew to Okinawa faster than this.

To top it all off, since I still haven't eaten and I only stopped drinking at 2am or so, I'm still a little tipsy. Top that, CreateBlog.


**Note: Grey Goose mixes very well with Van Goh apple vodka.
**Note 2: Tom Collins gets you drunk
**Note 3: Airports are not my cup of tea, especially when my flight gets screwed up off of government funding and then I have to pay out of pocket to deal with their mishap.
