searched & there wasn't any topic's on this.

i have a 2GB nano ipod & for some reason when i plugged it into my computer this morning, it told me to register my IPOD, & i did already like like 7 months ago! i closed the window & went to my iTUNEs & it said 1.82GB is taken up leaving me with 2.9MB, but there's no songs on it! 1.82GB taken up is from song's i had before all my songs dissapeared. now im left with a 2.9MB empty song-ed iPOD. which is useless & worthless. this is the 2nd iPOD im going to break. help please? sad.gif

It won't break. It's just an iTunes problem..

First of all, if you don't have it already, get iTunes 7. Next, get the latest version of the iPod software (it comes with iTunes 7).

What you have to do is restore it. When you plug in your iPod you should see a button that says 'Restore'.
Click that button. It'll delete everything on it. It's like reformatting a disc.
After restoring it, it should be back to normal.

If you have iTunes 7, it should look something like this:

And umm.. I think you broke your screen. Try restoring your iPod first. If the screen is still like that, then it's definitely broken.

There wouldn't be a restore button. I don't think you can restore it without iTunes 7. I'll go check the iTunes FAQ though.

You can download iTunes 7 here:

You're welcome. happy.gif

And no, I go to York (QHSSYC, the specialized). I know some people who go to Francis though.
If you want to ask me anything else or you need more help, feel free to PM.

Ah, man, I had the same problem with mine except it wouldn't restore. I called Apple and the guys said "Wow, yours is really messed up. Looks like you got the bad Apple out of the bunch." XD.gif Yeah, cheesy, but they sent me a new one! Anyways, problem solved and...
