Oh snap son, get to work. Get out that veto stamp George, start the impeachment investigations, the filibusters, the blame game and all that lovely stuff.

Hey, we don't for sure know yet!
They're talking about a recount in Virginia right now.

Score!

Oh, snap. The Senate results are very close. If there's going to be a recount, let's hope that it won't be rigged.

I did read somewhere that there were so many problems with the voting procedure and in some areas, paper ballots were used.

I'm a Republican, and even I say the Party deserved to get booted.

That's just sad.

Screw Nancy Pelosi. The Democrats owe this win to the moderates. Blue Dogs FTW.

And yeah, now the Republicans better regroup and return to traditional conservatism.

Bush '08! Jeb, that is _smile.gif

I just got back from Italy last night and as soon as I got back into the airport in Chicago I almost collapsed when I heard the news about Rumsfeld, and the Democrats getting control. It was like the happiest day of my life. _smile.gif

Not having Gore or Kerry makes me glad we had Bush. If you complained under Bush and democrats lite, then wait till you're under the full force of the left wing.

^ No joke - I agree wholeheartedly. I just don't think Jeb has what it takes to beat Hillary, or Obama for that matter... at least if the elections were held right now. He'd probaly have to wait 4-8 years so people would forget about how much they complained about Bush 43.

Rudy Guilliani would be interesting, but I don't think he has what it takes either. And people aren't too kind to the GOP right now, anyway.

What's wrong with the so-called "full force of the left wing?"

Guilliani isn't going to get it. Does he even want to run?

Eh, I'm not sure if Obama is a good thing, at least right now. He's so new, you know? I'd rather have him gain more political experience before trying to make a credible claim to the White House. Although, I must say, the man makes an excellent speech and seems like a good, rational politician.

Even with that whole recount thing for the Senate they still have 2 independents who vote with the Democrats.

Is it for sure, for sure that Borack Obama is going to run in '08. The newspapers around say that it's confirmed.

This election has also been very important for women, since a woman is now Speaker of the House. That's the closest a woman has come to the Presidency. Hey if someone kills the pres. and vice pres. a woman will become the president!!!

You think the government is big now? Wait till the liberals are in complete control. Never mind regular abortions, do you think people who approve of PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTIONS are morally representative of the American public?

Democrats won this with blue dogs, yet the far left will be calling the shots. See anything wrong here?

So Republican Party, start campaigning to your base again. Actually try to overturn Roe v. Wade. Protect the second amendment. Stop gay marriage. Stop stem cell research. STOP CONCENTRATING ON FLAG DESECRATION LAWS WHEN THERE ARE OTHER MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES AT HAND.

I'm personally for a woman's right to choose. I'm also for gay marriage and stem cell research. Any leadership that wishes to uphold these rights or make them legal is fine by me.

Yes, but even the right to choose to crack a baby's head open and suck the brains out with a vacuum? The left likes to use euphemisms to make stuff sound nicer. Defending the "right to choose" sounds a lot better than "crack open a baby's skull and suck the brains out with a vacuum." Guess what though, the likes of Pelosi, Kerry, Boxer, Rangel and Kennedy voted AGAINST a ban on Partial Birth Abortions.

The Democrats used moderates, many of whom were pro life, to help win a bunch of the seats. I fear the more liberal ones are just going to say "THANKS A LOT SUCKERS!" and take advantage of their new power.

This is not the place to debate the "rightness" or "wrongness" of abortions.
