I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I first met my ex when I was 14 and he was 17. I was mentally more matured and well, he was 17. Most 17 year old guys I know still act like kids anyway. And he wasn't in it for sex because the 3 years we went out, we never did it once. We broke up after I graduated high school when our situation got too complex.

I don't think the difference is that big. Actually, I find it normal. I've seen 16 year old girls with 35 year old guys, so.. yeah. WOW that's pretty uhm... gross. but anyways I think it's totally cool if a freshmen dates a senior, when I was a freshmen, I liked a guy who was a senior, and almost went out with him i guess, ( didn't end up working out) but yea I've known plenty of freshmen dating seniors, even freshmen boys dating senior girls |

i think its weird..because most freshman girls look VERY young entering high school. and senior boys look like theyre 25.
we have that here a lot. mostly because the senior boys want some. |

Well, first of all it depends on what everyone considers a relationship.
Not all relationships involve sex & sex is probably a main issue that concerns more of you. I am ALL FOR senior/Freshman relationships. If a 13/14/15 year old has an attraction to a 17/18 year old, and vice verse, then I don't see anything wrong with it. Not all Freshman are overly immature and not all seniors are all about sex,it's just a few or it's people stero-typing. (Assuming it's a female freshman and a male senior) If the freshman knows the age difference and sees how differnt the relationship it seems fine. It's automatically the senior's duty to be respectful of the age gap and be extra tender with his partner, which includes knowing his partner's bounderies and respecting them. If it's a relationship without sex and just love and commitment, I see nothing wrong. [[Not all seniors look like they're in their twenties. I know a few seniors who like like freshmen themselves and a few freshmen who like like juniors]]. The freshmen I know who are dating seniors know the situation. If they break up, it's usually because of all the stress they recieve from their piers not approving of the pairing. A friend of mine is in that exact situation. She is 13 & she likes a 17year old. She knows it "Isn't proper" and so does he. They have no sexual relations but they hold hands, kiss on occasion, talk for hours on the phone, ect. He respects her totally and has no notion of "Getting into her pants". If he was wanted sex, he has plenty of suitors his age who would be willing to, "Put out". He is scolded for having feelings for her, by his family and friends. The freshman has gotten threats and has lost friends, because she likes a senior. -The sad part is, the two can't "date", becuase if they said they were dating, everyone would freak out and almost no one accepts the two as a pair- The senior has overly controling parents who try to keep the two apart by any means. & The freshman endures a lot of things she shouldn't have to, because of her feelings. No one has a right to judge someone else's feelings. Yet, these two people who have stronger feelings than most of the couples I've ever seen are being forced to pass notes instead of talk on the phone ... They can't do anything without being judged ... |

I mean I'm a freashman and somepeople REFUSE to believe it. [I look like i'm ATLEAST a sophmore or a junior. i've gotten as old as sophmore in collage]
and for the longest time i was hooking up with a Junior [who's supposed to be a senior] we didn't let a lot of people know because it was a little uneasy for some of our friends to swallow. Also some people got mad and thought he was using me. We ended up "going out" [FOUR days... ugh] and breaking up after like five months of "friends with benefits" (i still have feelings for him, sadly.) BUT, on the other hand my best friend is dating a senior. (She's also a freshman who's old enough to be a sophmore) There very much in "love" (says they, i personally think they're in lust) And he is NOT pressuring her for sex. But yes, at sometimes it seems wrong or awkward when you let other people jade your ideas. Yet, what it really comes down to is how you feel about the other person and vice versa. ...Just my thoughts and experiances. |

there's nothing wrong with it becuase it's only what 3/5 years difference my dad's 4 years older than my mom ... i dated a guy once when i was 12 he was 16 haha LONGGGGGG time ago lol and that didnt work out so good but that was probably becasue i was 12 but once u are 13 or 14 u act more mature and if the guy isnt the type that wants sex then there's nothing wrong with it my boyfriend is 2 years and 8 months older then me (lets round it to 3 years) it isnt barely any difference it all depends on what freshman and waht senior becuase some freshman are still acting like they were in 6th garde and some seniors are acting like sex maniacs so it all depends on thei maturity and if they like each other for persoanlity && love each other...it'll last if it's only looks&& sex it wont

There needs to be more love involved with sex than lust. And that can go both ways.

Its all a matter of maturity level.
Sometimes, I feel stupid calling a freshman cute, and I am a junior, but I really don't think its a problem if the maturity level is pretty much equal. |
