I had this in the wrong forum....but, I've just finished my first DIV layout. I had to use Paint, Microsoft Photo Editor, and my printer's photo editing program to create the background. Despite that...I think it actually turned out alright. But, what do you guys think?

Theres always been something about that shade of red and black. The red is to bright I think. The font doesn't really match in my opinion. Or any of the fonts actually. It looks fine over all though, perhaps get rid of the horizontal scroll bar on the comments, just make your tables skinny by using this:
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=151387 I think you still need some practice overall, pretty nice for your first attmept though  Oh the little pictures of the outline of the girls the background isn't the same  Don't worry about it though, I'm probably the only one that would notice.

For a first, it's good.
I agree with what Holly said. A few things is that the image is of low quality, and the red silhouettes have backgrounds that aren't actually black, so they don't match the rest of the layout. Maybe get a little more creative and go for different colors, rather than the generic ones. And change the font. |

^ I agree.
It's very nice for you're first. But the image should be cutted well, since I can see outlined black where the navigation is at. And I'm not feeling the font, It just doesn't look nice. |

Thank you for your critiques! I figured the colors would be all wrong. In addition to not having Photoshop or Paintshop...I also have a sucky computer. Everything looks so much darker on it and no amount of tinkering with it has fixed it. And I couldn't find any quality images of Holli Would anywhere. It's like the world has practically forgotten about Cool World. Once I get Photoshop/Paintshop and access to a a newer computer I'll do better though. I promise.

^ You can download a trial version before you buy PSP or PS. Even though there's ways to get it without buying
 But I'd deffinately look into getting a program like that, you'll love it :) |
