A while ago, my dad got a speeding ticket while driving me to school. He got 3 points taken away because of that [here in HK we have this thing that all drivers start with 15 points and when they get to 0 or negative points they're suspended from driving for a period of time]. The thing is if he takes away 3 more points he'll have no more points left and won't be able to drive. pinch.gif

The thing is, we live miles away from my school, in fact it's in another district. It takes 45 mins to get to school. And if we're going to take the bus it would take 1 hr 30 mins. ohmy.gif How scary is that? My dad wants my mom to pretend it was her speeding that day, so she'll get 3 points taken from her driving license and my dad can drive us to school again. The problem is she doesn't want to do this because it's against the law and she doesn't want to be responsible for what my dad did. She won't even agree to driving us to school.

I can't take the bus to school everyday and back because it's going to waste too much time. If we take the bus we'll have to wake up at 4 each morning and it's a great chance we'll be late everyday. And my sister is going to take mock exams later, and soon she's going to take exams and she can't be late for exams. I don't know what to do now. sad.gif

WOW! Your family's in quite a pickle here :P

Anyways, I think you should just stick to the law. It's really nice of your dad to put his points on the line just to get you to school, though.

How about another way of getting to school besides the bus and being late? Getting up about half an hour early really helps, and your dad will be able to drive you and your sister to school without having to speed and put his points on the line.

Maybe you can talk to like a guidance counselor about this? They might be able to help you!

I guess that'll work but he won't be able to drive us to school anymore soon.

Hmm? How's that? It's just getting up early.

He won't be able to drive you to school anymore soon? Does he have other ways of getting some other points taken off here that you didn't mention?

He was speeding few weeks ago and got a speeding ticket and he will get 3 points taken away. Right now he has 2 points left so after he gets 3 points taken away he won't be able to drive again.

i don't think her dad can drive anymore, which sucks since your idea on waking up earlier was pretty good.

but anyways. beg your mom to drive you guys to school? is it possible to take taxis? (really depends, places like singapore have CHEAP taxis available pretty much everywhere but places like the states, i doubt you'd take a taxi everyday to school 45 minutes away).

I couldn't carpool, no one who goes to my school lives near where I do.
