My friend thinks I'm weird because I'm reading Prep and I actually like it. shrug.gif

Please tell me that isn't like the handbook for preps. This kid was reading and it and she tried so hard to be a prep it bothered me.

You guys are too depressing. I got into a "bad place" in my life only once but I got over it. All anyone needs to realize is that the world is the world. You are you. People are people. And cutting is in fact cutting. Not a feel-good-about-yourself-in-a-bad-way thing. No matter what you say it doesn't make you feel good because if it did, you would've done it only once. Jesus, everyone makes their life seem harder than it is.

//edit

BTW PREP IS AN AWESOME BOOK. IT'S NOT A HANDBOOK FOR PREPS. IT TELLS A STORY OF A GIRL IN THE WORLD OF BOARDING SCHOOL AND HER AMAZING POINT OF VIEW!

laugh.gif It's not. Why would I need a handbook to be a prep anyways? XD.gif

I WOULD GET TO THE GOOD PARTS IN HOMEROOM AND THE GUY BEHIND ME WOULD POKE ME WITH HIS BOOK AND THEN CLASS WOULD END.

Ian, I know you're reading A Separate Peace right now but once you're done with it, I would strongly recommend Prep. Even though it looks like it's for girls it can be for boys too (although really.. it IS for girls).

this is why I hate the title of the book. It's not about the life of a prep. The main character isn't even preppy. She's the "loser" in a group of preps and her 4 years in boarding school, trying to avoid the group she despises.

Wow, Yen. I don't read that much since I basically sit around doing nothing and staring at some random object. shrug.gif I'm on her freshman yearr. I started the book yesterday. pinch.gif

Hahaha. When I was looking through all the books, it stood out, so I just took it and read the back.

she wasn't really the loser. she just wasn't popular.

it's a good book, not the best, but good. kept me entertained anyway. but it bugged me how she didn't change, how she didn't wake up and realize that she should've done.

she portrayed herself as one. She also made it seem like no one liked her in the article that New York Times bitch wrote.
