yeah, my myspace is private so you can't see it.

but that screenshot isn't of my myspace page. it's the homepage. you know, the page that you're at after you log in? so obviously you can't see THAT.

1. this only works in firefox. so obviously you have to have firefox. if you don't, download it: get firefox.

2. download the greasemonkey extension. it's useful and there's lots of cool usercripts you can use.

3. install a userscript. (i used this usercript as a basis and customized it to my liking.) there's a install this script link in the top right blue box that takes you to a new page. and then click the install button that's above the script.

4. customize if you want. you can use any text editor to search and replace colors i used. just open your greasemonkey extension options (tools > extensions > greasemonkey > options), click on the userscript, then click edit. if you can customize your myspace, you can customize your homepage. [you can always reinstall the original userscript if the one you customized comes out wonky (it took me a few tries to get it right).] :)

and that is it. very easy. and if you don't like it? all you have to do is uninstall.

go here: userscripts.org for lots more userscripts for everything from myspace to livejournal to last.fm to ebay to flickr... good stuff. :)
