Its me and my girlfriends 1 year anniversary and were pretty much happy, but the only thing bugging her is that shes upset that she doesnt have a gift for me . i gave her a ring and she loves it of course, but she feels bad for not giving me anything and her mother says that shes not suppose to give me anything. I think its ok and i really dont want anything but her... so I just wanted to know another persons outlook on this situation.

i think that the fact that she remembered the anniveresary is the important thing here. but i don't see why the girlfriend isn't allowed to give something back. i think her mom probably believes deeply in the chilvary type of stuff. what an idiot.

Happy 1st year! clap.gif

I really don't see why she shouldn't give u sth. I dunno.. many girls find it difficult to choose a nice present for a man. If I was her I'd buy u tickets for your team's match or clothes or sth like that.

Tell her that it's not the present that matters and that u are really happy that she didn't forget your anniversary.

You are strictly real, man. I honor that. If you want to make your gf feel better about it, come with the awesome line "Just listen to your mother". She'll go home and tell her mom what you said, and that is ultimate brownie points. This is from personal experience.
