Copyright Infringement!!!!!!!!!, How unethical! Options

Hey guys,
I just wanted to tell the moderators and staff here at Createblog, as well as the designers to keep on the look out for copyright infringement. We didn't put time into designing layouts to have it stolen and exploited!

The reason I'm saying this is that I've seen some Createblog layouts that have been stolen and used on other sites. Specifically mspremade.com to be exact. The owner of that website also stole layouts of my own, saved the graphics and hosted them elsewhere, as well as modified the code to exploit it, not to mention he didn't even leave any credit to the original authors of the work.

I emailed him with a C&D immediately, and he came back saying that code cannot be copywritten. He also then went on to say

"our site is free to use and our users are free to upload any code they want."

What kind of site would allow people to steal and submit copyrighted work? Plus that was such idiocy on his part because the layouts that were stolen from me was submitted by "admin". Sad.

Now just as I checked it again, he has changed the submitter to my site name, and gave me a link, which I will not allow in any case. What a bold unethical webmaster. I'm not going to spend hours on designing things to be exclusive to my site, only to have it snatched by some site that's only in it for the money.

I should hire someone to keep on the lookout for rats like this guy, that way the next time he does it again... No warnings.

It's been happening since the internet was first released to the public. In my opinion people are going to steal things and claim them as their own. Sad, but true. Don't post anything on the internet without expected it to get stolen. It's like with money, don't give any away that you expect back.

Yeah you're right, god that kind of stuff ticks me off.

I guess there's not too much we can do about copyright on the internet and if I were to file suits I'd be filing suits weekly. It's really not even worth the time and money to file a suit probably. Grr.

Yea, uhm. Were quite aware of this just to let you know. We can't exactly do much about it. We can contact the owner of those sites but more than likely nothing will happen. A lot of sites do buy layout packs in which other people have put together and took a lot of layouts and just stuck them in a pack.
