Beneath the cedars crying limbs Her body a stone among other stones A voice that will never sing again "Do you miss her?" Rang out across the valley And after the sound had passed, an eagle flew overhead They searched in vain for a pain, a feeling they couldn't embrace And slowly, to their surprise, lay down and died. |
