can someone please explain why that thread was open for so long? Removing someones watermark so you can use their shit for yourself is the same thing as jocking, which cB doesnt allow. DUH?! christ almighty, learn how to do your jobs. |

just kidding i agree with tripvertigo because if someone wants to do it in the privacy of their own homes thats fine with me too, but doing it in the privacy of ur own home and asking for advice here on how to seems completely different to me. we can't control what people do, but we can control what we help them to do |

It's a plain old photo, not a manipulated image worth jocking. You can still jock photos, I understand, but it's not uncommon to use image of celebrities.

To be fair, in that instance I don't think it was necessarily her intent to claim the picture as her own, just make it more appealing. I suppose there could be an argument made in favour of having it closed, and I see where you're coming from, but I don't think there was anything outright wrong about not having done so.
And, by the by, you catch more flies with sugar, sweets. |

if it was someones intent to KEEP people from taking the photo by watermarking it in the first place, then how about let's NOT support other people by teaching them how to remove watermarks?

A lot of people didn't even know what she was talking about until she posted the pictures.
Yes, people were telling her to blur/crop it out/etc, but how was staff suppose to know that is what she meant? Yes, it could've and should've been closed a bit soon, but 6 hours after the time the picture was posted isn't too bad. When I first saw this topic, I thought it was going to be about something that was left open for a couple of days after when it shouldn't have been. I mean it could've been closed soon, but if that hadn't been what she was talking about then she may have ended up fussing at staff about accussing and such (like some people I know). idk if this post made much sense, I hope so. I'm sleepy.  haha
