i've seen it many times in other journals that they manged to fix the header image over the navigation strip. cause when you're using the navigation strip and you adjust the header image to it the design is messed up when you dont use the navigation strip. sorry my english sucks when it comes to technical terms. does someone know what i mean? i still want to use the navigation strip and want my header image on top of it.

well, ive never seen it done before. you can hide the navigation strip, and your layout shouldnt be affected. however, if you're using the Plus + account, then your layout will be affected.

maybe you have a layout problem instead of a problem with the navigation strip.
