Image slicing, on PSP

okay so i made a div on psp and i know how 2 code them the normal way like on turorials but i noticed some people "slice" thir images,
how does that work?
like whats the diffrence in betwwen slicing and normal ones?

You only need to slice if you made links on the image that you want to make clickable , if not you don't need it.

Also I don't believe you can slice w/ psp . It may be possible but the best program to slice with is imageready.

Normal ones are if you don't have links that need to be made "clickable" . Like say you made the link in photoshop and you wanted it to be able tobe clicked then you should slice.
If you just have an image that you need to align content in , slicing is pretty pointless. But in some cases slicing can help the image load faster.

oh okay,
well i just made a layout with words i want to be clickable and i sliced them and saved them in the html format.

i just dont know how/where to put their codes ermm.gif

Well first you need to upload all the images. Then you have to open the code file, and place the image urls in the code.

Example instead of:
images/imageo1.jpg

You would put:
http://urltoimage.com


Then you can put that entire code in a div, if you want to position it. If not just post it in the section you want it to appear in.

ok thanks,
sorry its taking me forever to figure this out but so that an image has ".com" at the end instead of ".jpg" where can i uplad it?
or would it do that on imageshack too?
