This topic goes with my other one here
except that this is to do with my dad not friends My dad has been overseas for 2 months with my step mum he just got back and my lil brother and i are supposed to go to his house for the weekend i've been excited about this "Planet Shakers" concert for a while now i am supposed to meet my new friends there tonight (friday night) (Planet Shakers is like a Christian Rock Concert/Chuch service, where 1000+ of youth go every year) i told dad i'd be goin and he asked me when and how im going to get there i told him its now the day i should be goin and i get an email QUOTE Hi John I think it is best if you are not going to the concert then we will pick you up as normal.....BUT if you are going to the concert the we will pick you up tomorrow morning at 11am. i have 2 choices, i cant come back to my mums coz shes going away tonight and she doesnt really want to leave me in charge of the house but i really really want to go and make my relationship work with these guys i rang him and he simply said no i cant go i immediately said "fine, Bye" and hung up i dont feel bad about it, ive never rebeled before it feels good legally i dont have to go to his place now that im 16 im beginning to feel thats a good idea when i get my job next week i dont think i will this is the first time ive ever had a problem with my dad its usually my step dad who i have a problem with right now i feel like crying

aww. i'm sorry!
but hey, that concert sounds like it could be a pretty important thing in your life, do you really wanna miss it for your dad? hmm...i think maybe you oughtta go to that concert. [: i wish i could go, lol. anyways. good luck with your situation. i don't really know much about divorced parents, but it sure doesn't sound like fun to me. sorry :/ |

What? You're upset because your dad won't give you what you want? I think it's time to learn what discipline means and stop whining. You sound spoiled.
