Not having moderating powers in any given forum does not mean that moderators can't post there anyway. Thus, your argument is null; what is a "waste"? That threads will be open for a couple more hours than they should be? Oh, no.

I don't think this whole design staff issue wouldn't be a problem if we could trust the staff. But since there's obviously a lack of trust that the staff is responsible enough for the global promotion (and the lack of trust comes with good reason) flags come up.

It really isn't a promotion - it's a re-organization.

Yeah, I really don't see what the difference is. They were Myspace Staff, so they had control of the Myspace forums; now they're Design Staff, they have control of all of the design forums. Why is that such a big deal? I mean, I did like it before, but I don't really care about the change because it really doesn't affect anything.

Who is that directed to (specifically)?
And I think if that person believed an apology was warranted, it would've been given already. I can hardly remember what the original issue was to begin with. Heh. |

I think the moderators who reject layouts should at least critique, and give suggestions to the user so they can make their layout better. In my opinion, I think they should type a sentence about why the layout was rejected, instead of just two words.

^Their supposed to leave a rejection letter to anyone thats layout gets rejected. Well their not supposed to but it looks better writing one up since it only takes a minute or two.

^Yeah, well to be specific Ryan (moorepocket) rejected one of my layouts this morning, and the comment he left for his reason for rejecting it was: "too simple".

^ I agree.
A lot of times people will go through the queue and go through a ton of layouts, so sometimes it takes up a lot of time to write out a whole paragraph and there are quite a few people who submit layouts and don't really care for a reason as to why you rejected it. |

Maybe you should've then PM'ed him and asked for him to elaborate on that. I have typed out paragraphs as to why I felt that a user's layout/graphic should not be accepted, and they have still PM'ed me back asking for clarification or what they should do to make it better. I'm sure he would've replied and helped--you just had to ask. I definitely did ask him, and he hasn't replied yet. I sent it as soon as sent the rejection notice. ^ I agree. It's not about whether people care why their layouts got rejected. It's more about helping people improve by just taking a few seconds to tell what could be improved in the layout and why the layout was rejected. |

^ I agree. and that's why it has been said to take your time going through the queue. it's not about quantity. how much you can get done and how much time it wastes writing why it was rejected should be the least of your worries. if it was a matter of quantity with no feedback, there wouldn't be a queue and you wouldn't have a job.
