mipadi - I haven't even seen this kid since he was modded. I know he's been online, but he doesn't seem particularly active to me. I haven't seen him modding either.

I mod when things need to be modded. If you think I haven't been doing enough, tell someone to fire me and find a replacement.

It's not that serious. shrug.gif

By that...I meant serious enough to be firing people. Just some CC.

no mean to single people out, but just something I've noticed. It's nice to see Arjuna Capulong on top of his job, but every once in a while, he makes himself seem 'superior' to both members and other mods.
Key point: don't undermind your other mods

Yeah, I was afraid that was what it might look like. Don't get me wrong, I talk to them whenever something like that happens and explain.

Superior to members? Do you have an example just so I can see? Nevermind I see what you mean.

Yay, I got positive feedback biggrin.gif

I think that everyone on Myspace Staff is doing a great job. There aren't as many things to mod as People Staff, but I think they're really on the ball. Lucy's doing great because I think she really goes out of her way help people and she'll make sure that problems are solved and close topics if need be. And Ricky, he's ALWAYS in the myspace forums when I go there tongue.gif I think he's an amazing designer, and I see him helping people with numerous issues. I think all the new Myspace Staff has something to contribute. So no complaints from me.

I haven't really noticed a huge lack of things from People Staff. I can't really say anything about one person because there are some days when there's lots of stuff to mod and some day when cb just isn't that active. And there are people who will move topics, remove offensive things from posts and such and won't write it anywhere in the topic.

Phew, long post.

I'm going to put my two cents in about the People-Staff-not-doing-their-job thing:

Just because you don't see People Staffers closing/merging/etc. threads doesn't mean they're not doing their job. There's not always something that needs to be closed/merged/etc. If they're online and active and interacting with the community, they're already doing part of their job. People Staff is, after all, to interact with the people of the community.

As for the inactivity of some, I don't know what to say about that. shrug.gif Those inactive mods have probably talked that over with admins and might just have something going on at the moment.

Holly and I understand this. Both of us were mods for a pretty long time. This is exactly why I hate saying shit in here, because everyone has to jump in and get defensive.

To be frank, I openly posted in my application that I was only going to post if I had something intelligent to say, and I also admitted that sometimes, I only have something intelligent to say once every two or three weeks.

I'm not going to post useless, uninteresting topics to give the illusion of activity.

Just to clarify, I've been in Venice since Friday, but I'll be back and active again as from now.

I people want us to mod more, one solution would be to cause some sort of havoc, although that would probably NOT be the most helpful thing. Like Michael said, if there isn't much to mod, then not everyone can be hyper active.

Nah, it's cool. Personally, I like the C&C. We all form our opinions and believe me, it is totally necessary to see how the Community (especially former staff, in my opinion) is viewing current staff.

Also, nobody should be getting defensive. This isn't a debate thread or a bashing thread. It's a place where people can state their opinions and feedback. It really is just fine as a mod to say, "Ok, I'll work on that." or "I didn't realize I was acting in such a way." Sometimes you don't see how others are interpreting your actions, words and posts because an unfortunate side effect of internet based conversations, forums, etc is that a great deal of context is lost.

So yeah, I hope that no one feels uncomfortable posting their C&C here.

I don't think it's so much a question of people being defensive as it is simply offering an explanation. But yea, useful critiques are more than welcome

I got positive feedback as well. hehe.gif

Any who, I'd like to point out the mods for Design since all I mostly see is talk about People Staff. Anyways, I'd like to say that I think that all the design staff is doing a very good job and to keep up the good work. I'd like to specifically point out Dee, I've noticed shes been doing a magnificent job. I've noticed that if I don't/can't answer a question, she's always there to back me up and help. And I'll be there to do the same in return. Any ways, point is I think the Design Staff is doing a great job. _smile.gif
