So are you a Borders, Barnes & Noble, or local book store frequenter? Personally, I'm more of a Barnes & Noble shopper, but I love local book stores, especially the ones with the really cheap books. XD.gif I wish books weren't so darn expensive these days.

I find myself frequenting local book stores (especially when the store I favor is a local one), but sometimes you just have to turn to the big guys when you need to depend on book availability/variety.
And yes, I agree - the prices of books should go back down. Damn inflation. _dry.gif

Would you guys like me to leave you alone. shifty.gif

((kidding))

I prefer used bookstores. I don't have a name handy, but I'd rather recycle books that way.

I really like Borders. But maybe that's because I usually get giftcards there from my friends, so i associate borders with free stuff. lol. But I like their movie collection better then Barnes and Nobles, and their music is usually cheaper. But Barnes & Nobles is great, atleast the one near me. I go in there from time to time.
But there is nothing like a small bookstore on the corner street.

I love Barnes and Noble, but I also love a local books stores. A not-so-local favorite of mine is Joseph-Beth. (Those of you who live near Lexington, KY/Cincinnati know what I'm talking about.)

Between B&N and Borders, I prefer Borders. What I really love, though, are those hole-in-the-wall crafts stores that have just a small selection of books. Total love right there. throb.gif

Barnes & Noble is my second home. :]

Visiting local bookstores from time to time is nice though.
And like Anna said, those hole-in-the-wall stores are also fun to browse in.

I usually go to Barnes and Noble, and the Rivertown Bookstore near my house. They're really good stores, both of 'em.

There really aren't any local book stores here. If there are, it's usually an asian one.. So, basically, I wouldn't understand any of the books.. mellow.gif I don't really like Borders. Or the one around here, anyways. The B&N around here is larger, therefore, there's more selection. And more places for me to hide from my parents. ph34r.gif OH, speaking of family... There's like basically always something there for everyone in my family. Then, they wouldn't have to be following me around when I choose books. I get kinda weird when I'm choosing books. I like to rub covers. Don't ask.

We have both Borders and B&N around here but I much prefer Borders. The environment seems more lively there (?) And they have all these magazines you can't find elsewhere.

B&N!

I guess Waldenbooks has a better selection of manga sometimes.

Our other bookstores suck.

Barnes and Noble. Borders used to be in my local mall was just closed because too many people read anime there and didn't buy them.

I like barnes & noble.

but my mom boycotted it after she saw that they had their porno stuff near the children's books and the manager was a real jerk to her when she complained.

so now i've been going to the waldenbooks near me that has a really crappy selection. stubborn.gif

Umm. I like Barnes and Noble too. shrug.gif

I don't really like Borders. Barnes and Noble is a lot more comfortable and has a wider selection. Other than those two, there's not really much of a bookstore around here.
