comments, my comments won't work..HELP! PLZ! Options

ok, I tried just about everything. i put a new comment box in, and everything. But, everytime someone goes to comment me, it comes up to be Error: You must be someone's friend to make comments about them. Ok, now I'm not stupid, I am this person's friend there. But, for some reason it keeps putting it.

did I do anything wrong in there??? PlZ HELP ME! I have had this problem for awhile, and my friends is the same way with her comment box.
