I use ps and to tell the truth i;ve never used Psp but I just think Ps is better because you get a lot more tutorials and brushes available on DV and stuff like that, Iam always able to type in a type of brush I want on DV for PS but I get rare results with PSP but I could be wrong:]

I heard PS was better than PSP. ^^;; Anyway, I was just wondering what you guys thought between the two.

It definitely depends what you're trying to do, and which one you're used to.
I have Paint Shop Pro, but I've used Photoshop.
Personally, I like Paint Shop Pro better, because it's more user friendly.
But photoshop has a little wider variety of what it can do. Not by much, but there's deifnitely some things.
I just like PSP 'cause it's easier for me. =]

This is a good point.
Finding brushes, tutorials, etc is much harder when using PSP.
I was trying to load on some brushes I downloaded today, and they were all a 'newer version' and couldn't be read or something.

I started with Photoshop and have always loved it.
I only tried a trial version of PSP, just to try it out, and didn't like it even half as much as PS.
That's just me :)

I love, love, love PSP. I started with version 6 and am now on version 12. I did try ps, but didn't like not using layers like in psp. Also you couldn't add an image by pasting as new layer in photoshop.

Paint shop pro was made BY JASC ( Now Corel)
Photoshop is made by adobe the makers of dreamweaver and the other fancy programs ;) most people say photoshop is the better of the two programs LOL

I personally like both, I started off using paint shop pro 8 or 9 in 2004 and I got photoshop last year after using it in my graphic design class in high school.

Photoshop is just a wee bit more complicated to me..Idk why.

Actually, I had paint shop pro back in middle school. My friend burned me a copy. Then I finally experienced adobe photoshop in high school (boyfriend had it).

I can say that PS > PSP because although PSP is a lot easier to navigate through (well, at least for the old version that I had), but Photoshop had more options. You could do more to photos and stuff, I guess. But I'm not into crazy photo manipulations, so it's like w/e.

Oh man though, I remember using Animation Shop when I had Paint Shop Pro. Haha so easy.
