Anchoring DIV BG in IE. Options

I'm fairly proficient with html/css, and I was wondering if there was any way to anchor a div background in Internet Explorer.

The layout looks perfectly fine in Firefox, but in Internet Explorer, the background scrolls with the div layer. I'd like to fix the background into the div layer so that it doesn't scroll, and I'm becoming really redundant now. Thanks in advance.

The fixed property is ineffective in IE? Etto... Well, this only works in IE. If you were gonna stick it in a stylesheet, You could <!--[if IE]> it? -shrug- My brain is dying for oversleep.

I tried fixing the div background, but by specifiying a background-position, it becomes misaligned in both firefox and IE. :|

Also, I want this to be a centered layout and not a left-aligned layout just because it looks better, so I can't just define an absolute position for the bg. :(

Try anchoring the image inside the div - no css or style coding. Then put !important after the margin numbers. That ought to help

Meh, I couldn't figure it out, and I was told by some people as well as a couple sites that IE doesn't support anchored div backgrounds, so yeah.. you can close this. Thanks anyway! :)

(I just ended up tiling the bg vertically..)
