ok..me and my best friend...used to always talk on the phone together and stuff..about school...boys....future..teachers..tv shows..ect...
now its summer..and were totally drifting apart..but she still calls me everyday..and its getting her: hi me: hi her: wassup me: nothing her: uh huh me: yeah me: so wassup her: nothing...just working on the site. ---pause--- for a few seconds her: wassup me: nothing... then later i'll get off the phone making a lame excuse like...i gotta go eat..or something... ok...this is the problem...how could i tell her to stop calling me everyday..and like call me once a week or something...or call me if something really important happens or something....im sick of making excuse to her...i mean...i guess this is happening because its the summer..and there is like no school to talk about or boys..or w/e....and also because she is really bored and we are really really drifting apart...I NEED UR HELP PPL...HOW COULD I TELL HER TO STOP CALLING ME SO OFTEN...OR LIKE CALL ME ONCE A WEEK OR WHEN SOMETHING REALLY IMPORTANT TO SAY..IM SICK OF MAKING LAME EXCUSES....i need ur help..reply back please... sorry if u guys think i wrote too much..but i didnt think that as a lot...since i know other ppl write waay more then i do... |

well that happend to me to but what i did i would stop answering the phone or like when they were talkin to me i would say im busy or i have to go some where so they kinda stopped calling me so much. just tell her that why does she call you if she is only like quiet the whole time.. lol sorry i really dont know what to tell ya.

well i cant really stop answering the phone calls...she'll be like why dont u ever call me back or pick up..she'll leave a voice mail and she knows my home phone number since she is like my best friend...

lol i would tell my friends that i was online or that my phone wasnt working..
i think you should just tell her the truth ( but not in way to get you guys in some big argument) so just tell her in a nice way. |

well when im online...u could still use a phone to call...and my phone wasnt working..ugh im not sure..it might keep ringing...
i dont know how to tell her the truth...its hard...how in a nice way? gimme an ex like: ____ i dont wanna talk to u? |

You should tell her straight up but not in a harsh way..
like in the middle of your "pause" tell her.. hey can you only call me when its important? because i can`t always be on the phone.. or something. |

^ Thats a good idea. But don't say "Only call me when it's important" b/c that will either hurt her feelings or not effect her at all and shell keep on calling you. Just tell her to call you when she really has something she wants to tell you, otherwise she can IM you just to chat. Tell her pretty much what you just told us: that all you guys do anymore is say wassup then nothing, and you feel that she doesn't have to do that every day, or something like that. Of course I could be completely wrong...

GET A HOBBY or A JOB (If you're old enough)
I dunno. My gf and I used to talk to each other everyday like that (in the summer). But she was more understanding of our "short convos" because I had a job. Sometimes...I just leave my cell in my room and I'll call her back whenever I felt like talking (in 2 days). But letting her know ain't so bad either. She's your friend...I'm sure she'll understand. |

It sounds like you guys just need to hang out in person maybe if you experienced a few things together you would have more to talk about. Your conversations sound alot like my friends convos with me, execpt one of us usually says...
me: so... wanna hang out then: yes... me: ok them: what do you want to do me: you could come over here and veg out... play some games or whatever. them: alright, I'll be over in a little bit.. me: ok bye *click* |
