DIV layer misalignment, how can you align it? Options

I have a comment box in a div layer that i positioned in relative to otherthings on my layout and it's fine. the problem is that when people with a lower resolution look at my myspace, the comment box is not where it's supposed to be, it's more to the right than it should be.

my res. is 1280x1024 and the alignment is fine.
my friend's is 1024x768 and my comment box is misaligned on his.
when i change my res. to match his, it is also misaligned.

how can i make it so that it would be in one place in all res.?

Add a zindex. Before the "> add z-index: 1;
Add a zindex to all your divs. Except add a diff number for each.

i added the z-index like you said..

after the overflow thing and before the ">.
i lowered my res. and looked at it and it still is misaligned. it's normal when i go back to the higher res. though.
i don't know if i did it right or not, but it seems to not be working.

did i do something wrong or is there another way?

Not that I know of. If all your divs look like that no. Have your friend look when it has the zindexes. The lower your resolution, thing never worked well for me.


Also make sure your using the same browser..

yeah.. we are both using IE. and his res. is lower and it's not right.. hmm.. thanks for your help. maybe there is something up with my DIV code?

Yea it looks fine. As long as your not using margins and percents , which your not. Put Try changing it to this:

Because that div , has names. So it makes your divs less confusing. Change all your divs to ones like that. Just add the positions in.

Make sure you change the word "bg" to something else for each one.
