I've been having some transparency issues with PNGs on internet explorer.

I saved PNG-24s from PS and uploaded on a site, problem is it looks fine on Opera and FF, but it has a light blue background on the parts that should've been transparent. Anyeone have an idea or faced a similiar situation?

Yeah—IE doesn't handle transparency in PNG's properly, although IE 7 might fix this.

Would my best bet be to save it as gif on like Imageready?

If it's not a photorealistic image, that'd be best. If it requires a lot of colors, then you'll have to save it as a JPEG, or a PNG without transparency.
