left & right, alignment? Options

okeyy so on my computer the picture & table look aligned but other people say they aren't lining up. is it not aligned on most people's computers? how do i make it so that it's aligned for everybody?

The link in your profile? How does it look for you , a screenshot would help, so I can tell you how it is for me. But are they all using the same browser? and do they all know what alignment is?

Oh and if its a div, did you use Margin positioning and percents?

some people said the table on the right doesn't line up with the picture on their computer, as in i need to move it down. i didn't know it would move for some people if you get what i'm saying? is there a way to fix that?

Yea, mine looks the same. It can depend on their browser too. But when you positioned that did you use margins and percents? That could effect how it moves.

so yeah the whole top & right thing .. i adjusted those.

Hm, well I don't have much experience with that code but my suggestions:
- Use absolute instead relative positioning.
- Use left instead right .


Save the code you have now, then try changing it to absolute, then left. And see if that helps align better for people. Resolution, can possibly effect it. But not in all cases.

alright so i tried that & i clicked "preview profile" & i played with the numbers until i got it positioned right. then after i saved it & viewed my profile it was all off so the preview & the actual thing didn't look the same at all. in the preview it was aligned right but when i view my actual profile the table is like in the center of my page like covering my picture & everything. i can't adjust the numbers that way `cause the preview & actual profile turned out differently. =[

Yea , when using that your not supposed to use the preview. You constantly look at your actual profile. If you want you cna give me your codes and I can try to play around with it and stuff?

hahh that sounds really time consuming though. so like yeahh you don't have to. reallyyy but if you did, would you need more than the code i already put or would you need liiike all of it?

Ok wait. Your positioning your abou tme box? I thought you were positioning the image? I can try the box though. But you know if you made a div you could save all the codes and trouble.

ohhh... hahh yeahh. the about me box is my problem sorryy. so let's say i just forgot all that & just made a DIV .. don't DIV's align differently on different computers or screen resolutions too? like the table i would have to make might be off the image? you get what i'm saying?

Only when you use margins and percents. Most times divs work fine in all browsers and resolutions. Your div will be simple and it won't need much work. You will only need two divs, you can't go wrong with that.

The other thing, you won't have your picture table. You would have to create a div, and make your own. Meaning you would put an image in the div , then you can make a link to pics & videos.

So first get your pic & videos link save them.
Hide your profile with this
Then basically make two divs that look like this:

Thats one div code. Just edit the left, top, width and height numbers. Your left number should start at around 50. To go farther left make it higher. And vise versa. Top should be 150 or lower so you don't cover the ad. Width & Height, up to you.
