design: e2 (the economies of being eviromentally conscious), sustainable architecture Options

design: e2 is a documentary that I saw on PBS tonight. It will reappear on August 2nd.

It is "an examination of the issues related to sustainable architecture, including social, political, cultural, enviromental and economic factors."

What the focus was on, was using recycled materials from highways and buildings to make houses.

If there is a better place for this, please move it, but I think that technology is a good place to put it.

Have they done this in your area?

The houses are beautiful. I want to do that here. My parents are talking about moving from this neighborhood and into another one.. so this could be a good idea, no?

I don't want this thread to be about the documentary.. more about building houses out of these materials.
