Okay, so I've been a lazy-ass bum with no job for SO long now (November, actually laugh.gif). JCPenney was the first and last place I worked at, but the thing is I NEVER had to be interviewed - my best friend easily got me the job. So now that I'm currently looking for one again, I actually have to go through interviews. sad.gif And for some reason, I get so nervous when I do so, even though it's no big deal. I used to be the same way before debate rounds, even though I was prepared. On top of that, they always bring up my past employer.. and then ask why I quit (which is understandable), but it's a touchy subject for me because they treated us like shit when I worked there, and one time I even broke down in tears in my manager's office. So gaah. I don't know.. then they ask stupid questions, like, "What do you think you'll bring to the team?" WTFIDON'TKNOW. I'm applying to be a greeter.. I wouldn't expect them to bring anything to a team. pinch.gif Blarrgh. I don't know.. have any tips or good answers for next time I get an interview? Or just.. have any horrible interview stories? It'd make me feel a bit better. XD.gif

Well Steven Ding has a topic up here before with good interviewing answers in it. I guess I'll post it here once I find it.

Edit: Here it is: http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...mp;hl=Interview

Dude, I have been looking for a job FOREVER! And no one will hire me because I "don't have any experience." Well wtf matey, I need a job to get experience! haha.

Maybe I should try that Sexing profession... hmm. I have experience in that. :D Just playing, just playing...

Anyway, just try to relax and be yourself. Wait, don't be yourself Kathleen. You'll never get a job... j/k :P Just act confident but also casual.

I'm not allowed to get a job, since everyone else in my family is already working and someone has to stay home to watch over my seven-year-old little brother. ermm.gif

Since I've never had a job interview before, I can't offer any bits of advice or any interesting stories. I do wish you good luck though Kathleen. flowers.gif flowers.gif

Not a real job since I'm too young, Suzzette. I guess I can call myself self-employed though.

I make money off of photography. Not nearly enough to support myself well though.

Allowance. mellow.gif
I save my money though. _smile.gif

And y'know, I'm only sixteen and my parents support me in everything. Financially and whatnot.

I like to save my money too. I pretty much pay for myself when it comes to anything extra.

Mmm, I figure it doesn't matter if i'm nervous anymore because my mother doesn't want me to have a job either. She wants me to focus on school. She'd always tell me to ask her if I need/want anything. Ugh, I kinda want to feel responsible for myself too you know.

Ewww, I'll have to do the same thing pretty soon. I've never had a job, but it shouldn't be too hard, right? Just stand there and look pretty - that's all you'll ever have to do, Kathleen. But you could always say that you're a hard worker and you learn fast and you'd love to contribute anyway you can. That's what I plan on saying when I apply for a job... cross your fingers and hope it works, I guess.

Where do you want to apply?

LUCKY. I keep asking my mom if I can just concentrate on schoolwork, but she's bent on me getting a job. Both of my parents kept nagging me this entire summer, calling me a bum while I'm researching colleges and whatnot. stubborn.gif

Haha I WISH. Trust me. You have no idea how long I've been searching for modeling gigs around here. Yeah I guess that's what I tried to say.. I know I came across really nervous and unsure of myself, though. ermm.gif But oh that first interview was at this local chain restaurant called Eat N' Park. I've submitted applications, but no one else has.. called me back. The Eat N' Park place.. I applied AND THEY INTERVIEWED ME THE SAME DAY. I had no idea. That probably added to my being scared out of my mind.
