Here are the general forum rules that you must follow before you start any debate topics. Please make sure you've read and followed all directions.
- Topics are not to bash others.
- Immature behaviors/comments will not be tolerated.
- Please remember, not everyone thinks like you. People have different ways of thinking and different perspectives. Let's respect each other's thoughts and responses.
- PLEASE, search before making new topics--especially popular topics like "God" and "Abortion" etc.
- PLEASE, read through the thread or at least a couple pages before posting. We have to maintain a certain level of maturity in here.

McCain is way overrated as a politician. For those who still had hope on the man being somewhat of the character he played a few years ago, here's this gem: QUOTE HUNT: Why not ask some wealthy Americans to pay more? MCCAIN: Uh, umm, I’m not sure that that’s connected. I think if we have to, we ought to make some choices in defense spending if we need to. HUNT: So you would resist asking more affluent Americans to pay more taxes to help support this war? MCCAIN: Yeah, because then… I’m not sure what the point would be. I would certainly ask Americans to serve. I would ask them to make other sacrifices, but I’m not sure I would want to raise their taxes just because we’re in a war.  EDIT: Washington Post article. I don't see why it should be a problem, since this guild isn't formed along a party line but rather collects influences from liberal minded people from different world locations.

BBC Article.
Obama collects 1.3 million dollars from a fund-raiser held in Los Angeles, which supposes a good head start as opposed to the other candidates for the democratic primaries (with the exception of Hillary Clinton, quite probably). |
