ok nearing the end of the school year, i could tell a few of my friends were being jerks. even my best friend. i could tell even more when i spent the weekend at the beach with 3 of my friends for her birthday. my best friend was just acting like i wasn't good enough for her or something. i mean this is the girl that i hung out with every weekend and sat next to every day for the entire school year. so i was pretty mad. then earlier in the summer i did a 3 week art institute and i got to meet some kids a year or two older and they were SO much nicer than a lot of the people my age. i mean so many of the people in my grade are SO superficial...like abercrombie, hollister, and starbucks worshippers. they judge everything you do. and i'm sick of it. so now i'm left with about 3 people my age that i like and are good friends and a couple people from the art institute. i really want to be friends with my best friend again, but not if she's going to act like that.

has this happened to anybody before? what did you do? what can i do?

Yeah, actually... Only my friend wasn't a Hollister/A&F type of person.. She just kept on telling me that I wasn't being a good enough Christian, and she always told me what I should do and what I shouldn't do.

And then I had my brother, and his friends. I like/d hanging out with them a whole hell of a lot better. So what I did was...

I pretty much ignored heidi (the friend) for a while, and told her to stop bugging me. I told her waht she was doing to make me not want to hang around her. Eventually, after about a month and a half, she figured it out, and stopped. She came around.

And I'm sure your friend/s will, too. If they don't, then maybe you should just hang out with the people from the Art Institute. I mean, obviously they treat you better.

Never happened to me before & hopefully it will stay that way.

Hmm, why not talk to your best friend about it when you guys are alone? If you have already tried and failed, or if she doesn't care, I know it will be hard, but just forget about her. She doesn't deserve having you as a best friend if she keeps on treating you like that. Don't go trying to get her to become friends with you if she's not going to go back to normal. Friends are suppose to be fun and it just happens naturally. After all, it takes two to become a friend =] If all doesn't go well, hang out with the three you just met. But make sure that they won't turn their backs on you either =]

Friends are like clothes. Some are keepers and others, you wear for a bit and discard.

that happened to me this year... my [ex]bestfriend chose her dumbass boyfriend over me [dont even ask]; pretty pathetic... she can jump off a bridge for all i care _dry.gif that besides the point, i didnt do sh*t b/c if she rather choses a dude that treated her wrong [which she knows of] than chose a friend[s] whos actually tryna help her out, then just leave it and let her learn her own mistakes... i know its not 'bestfriend' material but i went through so much sh*t w/ her that she chose a boyfriend... thats shes only met this yr and me shes known for 4 yrs... WOW [im not gonna get myself heated for no reason]

ANYWAYS; as for YOUR BEST FRIEND; i guess shes mad that you had some new friends and that you made... talk to her [even if she doesnt listen] try to get her attention...

it was the same way with me...

i guess something that i've learned in the past year is that people change... i mean, try as you might, but there's a great likelyhood that she won't be the same... she might... but that's not a sure thing.

you can't hold onto things.

i just saw a picture that we took before a party on her myspace except...oh yeah, she cut me out. that makes me so mad. did she think i wasn't going to see it? is it even worth trying to be friends with her again if she obviously doesn't want me around?

damn, that's hella tough!! cry.gif
well in like all teen shows or movies; they always have a story plot that someones best friend, isn't anymore.. ya feel? However, i know i shouldn't be comparing TV fictional stories and real life, but in some way it could almost be the same!

People change, and your friend that you still think is your "bffae" (haha) changed how she deals socially with other people. However, at the end of the day, she'll still be that one bestfriend,, because sometimes those really good memories that both of you had will always be "superglued" in her head. But sometimes, you gotta let go of some people, even the ones you care about.

Also, when i read that she cut you off of her picture; that was hella wack as a "former friend", this is the time were life is telling you to move on to greater things, meet new people and become the best of friends. Just don't let her rudeness get to you, as JAY-Z said, brush your shoulders off;;

well hope this helped!
don't worry, if she thinks she can just drop you as friend, well so be it. you have more important things in life.

she used to. like earlier in the year, that's why i'm wondering if it's just a phase. once school starts again i'll be able to tell better i think. a couple people have told me they were mad at her for the same reason. so it's not that she just doesn't like me. it's like her whole attitude has changed.

Yes it has. I hate hanging around people that are too immature. I understand that some people mature faster than others, or are just simply that way but it's hard for me because I'm a lot more mature than a lot of my peers ( and I'm not just saying that because I think I am, I truly am. ) but I usually hang out with people 2 classes above me, like the juniors when I was a freshman and the seniors ( that were juniors ) as a sophomore.
Kick the 3 bitches in their shins, if anyone looks down their nose at you and makes you feel as if you are not good enough, f**k them. You don't need friends to put you down and make you feel that you're worth less than you truly are. It's good you met those people at the art institute, they sound like nice people. Connect with them more, unless you keep on wanting to hang out with these girls that treat you like shit, then either talk it out with them or go on kissing their ass so that they are nice to you. (:
