okay i know im bugging the heck out of yall, but i tried this tutorial over "installing cutenews" and im getting impatient and mad..lol
http://peachylicious.net/installing-cutenews.php okay i opened my smartFTP and my html-kit, but im having a major problem. i thought the tutorial wanted me to upload the files from the cutenews folder, i did that but i looked at a diff. tutorial and they had like the data and archives folder under the folders section, i have no clue how to put it under there. im just going to delete cutenews and reinstall it, then i will delete all the things i just did. |

Instead of following her tutorial, follow the instructions in the cute news folder by opening up the readme.htm file.

okay i changed the permissions to 777, but uhm http://yoursite.com/cutenews/index.php i changed it to my name and all..but it doesn't work..
 this works http://www.streetxheart.chocolate-vixen.ne...enews/index.php but the other link doesn't..and where are the instructions?!

Yoursite.com/index.php only works if you don't pute cutenews in a folder. The instructions are in the downloaded cutenews folder. Its called README.HTM you can't miss it.
Just delete everything and start over following that. |

 the only thing is messes up is the index.php do i have to create that?

Ok first where is your cutenews folder? Because you have /blog/ thats wordpress. If your not using it you should delete it because that can screw up your cutenews.
When you install correctly you have an index.php file. |

my cutenews folder is under the blog, and under wordpress. i deleted the wordpress BUT i still don't have a index.php

Ok don't do that. It can mess up the files. Your cutenews folder doesn't work so you have to install it again.
http://www.streetxheart.chocolate-vixen.ne...enews/index.php When you go there it should work. It doesn't. If your not using wordpress delete all the files. Don't upload the cutenews older in there either. Make it its one folder. so its http://www.streetxheart.chocolate-vixen.ne...enews/index.php . When its installed correctly. That link will work. |

okay..finally! the problem was i made a folder called cutenews then i moved the cutenews folder into the cutenews folder that I made...so the link is: http://www.streetxheart.chocolate-vixen.ne...enews/index.php i guess it will still work! yay

But when you go to the link you should see something. It shouldn't be an error page. ( Well atleast I wouldn't think so.. )
