Searched and nothing came up. So do you guys have any family members or friends in the army/marines/navy at the moment?

My friend's boyfriend just joined the marine reserves, so he's at bootcamp right now. Other than that, and a couple people I vaguely know doing the same thing, no.

My dad is in the navy..

He's going to Iraq in September, but not really for war purposes. Moreso to "bodyguard" the chaplain. My dad's an R.P.C.

My older brother is looking to join to airforce, soon.

Got a brother who's planning on joining as soon as he gets a high school diploma (or equivalent). As much as I hate the idea, I'm hoping it helps him shape up his life. =\

My older brother is a specialist in the Army. He just got home from a one-year tour of duty in Iraq. biggrin.gif He did a lot of things there. He was a perimeter guard for a large airbase, a driver in a truck convoy, a gunner in a convoy, and he helped raid a few places to arrest insurgents.

One of my best friends in the Army, and another friend is going into the Navy this year.

I miss her.
And will miss him after this summer.

My dad was in the Marines for ten years, and my friend went off to Air Force bootcamp, although he's only going to train as a linguist, which isn't that bad of a plan.
