For the past few months my mom didn't care about my grades and all (she used to cry about it <_<) I got used to her not caring then my report card came in the mail yesterday and I got straight B's (which I thought would disappoint her). But instead she took us out to Outback to celebrate... <_< the next day she told me to study more when the school year begins <__< why are my parents weird?

i really dont understand what your saying are you saying your mom didnt care for a few months then she cared again? lol sorry if i didnt understand!
anywayz sumtimes parents have difficult times at work and stress about house bills and other stuff they have to pay for. jus give her time she might be back to her old self jus try talking to her about what you feel has been going on BUT also ask her what she has been going thro and why she has changed so much. GOOD LUCK! |

I'm saying at first she didn't care. She saw my grades and cared and celebrated it. The next day she told me to study harder.... <_<

wow that is wierd... hmmmmm....well jus try talking to her is the best advice i can give you and ask her why she has sudden changes and why she at one point does not care about your grades and then all of a sudden she sees your grades and then celebrates but next day she says study harder..its really odd but i think she will tell you whats up and if she doesnt then you tell her how her sudden changes is making you feel.

Alright thanks D: although talking is the last thing I want to do. It's not like I want to solve this problem. I just wanted to know why the weirdness. but I guess you're right about the stress

she's proud of you. at least your mom cares if you even pass a class. my parents get pissed of i even have a B+ yahknow parents are like that they're just going through a stage like iROCKYOURSOCKS said she has a lot of things to worry about. the last thing she needs to worry about is your grades. make the weight go off her shoulders by showing her a class that you have an A in, so doing great in. i'm sure she'd appreciate it |

Maybe I don't understand, but I don't think it's weird.
If she didn't care before, maybe she just didn't want to show her 'disappointment' and was scared it would affect you and how you associated her reactions and your grades. I mean, you say she didn't care--she could've been angry and upset, but she wasn't, she just "didn't care"--so that when you did good, she acknowledged it and appreciated it. I think that's good. Sometimes I would get motivated [eh. subconsciously] to fail just to spite my mom. If she didn't care, I wouldn't have any pressure from her to do better or worse--I'd just do my best. And maybe that's what you did. Good? |

Maybe your parents were talking to their friends and their friends were saying something about you and I guess that changed them on that day. It could be.... my parents are always weird -_-;;; very weird... they are hard to understand sometimes -_- |
