This is my first collage! (well i THINK its my first.. im pretty sure i've never done one before...) I made a blend once though. I think this came out alright though.

I hate Superman with a deep passion (the comic books, the merchandise, the story, the movie, basically the whole idea) but the images in the Superman galleries that Kristinaa provided had some really nice pics and it's not like I have anything better to do today. sad.gif

I might make another one or just enter this or not enter at all. Yeah, I'm mysterious like that. :P

Title: Man of Steel
Time: Not sure.. I think over 2 hours?
Galleries Used: All three in the contest (i'll add the links later.. perhaps)

I cut out each image from the background in Adobe Illustrator and rotated/duplicated/resized in Adobe Photoshop.

I think I should maybe add a border.

Should I add brushes? I hate using brushes and I think this looks better without since it's a collage and collages are already busy, so why make it even MORE busy with brushes? But iono what do you think?

My credit is small and transparent on the metal bar he's holding in the bottom-right corner. :D

(edit)

Okay so I randomly added some textures, brushes, and gradients. I also switched the little-people with another Illustrator-cut out. My sister said it looks worse than before but I think it looks a little better now. What do you think? Please leave C&C! :)

(edit)

lol no one's looking at this but...
does it look better without the top border?
or should i just add more superman images so there's no blank spaces?
or should i pick a different background like stripes or a darker sky?

I think its missing that 'extra something.' so brushes may be the way to go.. or at least a texture.

I really like this =] the cutouts are pretty good. I would get rid of the repeating image.. and take off the stroke around them. Besides that, I love the collage feel to it.

i think its really good, but i don't like the repeating images or the picture where he has glasses on...those images don't go with the rest of the collage.

Aww, i'm sorry you hate it. It was just..a really good movie, IMO and I knew where I could get tonsss of pics.

I agree w/ Maryland about the stroke/repeating image dealo but everything else is cool. But, up at the top there's some empty space compared to what's on the bottom. More pics, perahps?

And to the collage. It's nice! I know, I like little people in collages too, but here it doesn't seem to fit. But I do like your collage, it's real cute. &&I love the way you put your credits. (:

Maryland, you always seem to take the words out of my mouth.
Yes. You should add a texture to make it more of a collage. But nice job! thumbsup.gif
