Peace, Please Options

Bombs bursting
children crying
the sound of guns
firing at a loved one
putting an end
to a precious life

Tears falling
blood stained streets
children's parents taken;
kidnapped by the icy
hands of death.

I sometimes ponder,
why do we destroy,
or meddle in the affairs
of strangers
from other worlds?

Why do some find it just
to relieve their brothers
of the most precious
gift of all?

Stop the madness
get out now
before our world
comes to a painful end.

this is an assignment for my reading class. I've written 5 poems so far; this was my 5th try. I can post the other four, but only if you want. I doubt they're worth posting.
