i'm making a layout for a friend & i tried adding a banner at the top. but i can't get it right. either the banner overlaps the extended network or the space at the top isn't big enough and the ad runs across it.

the code i'm using is

CODE
<style type="text/css">body div table td td {height:250px; vertical-align:bottom;}</style> <div class="content" style="position: absolute; left:100px; top:200px; width:610px; height:360px; overflow: auto;"> <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/H0PELESS_DEV0Ti0N/baubautopbanner.jpg"> </div>

& i've been playing with the numbers for half an hour but i can't get it right.

here's what it looks like now.

can ANYONE help me out? i'd highly appreciate it..

i never got why people liked that code
it messes up the whole top of your myspace
but yea

just change the left code
left:100px;

to something more
like idk 200 or so

well on my computer it looks like it's centered & all i'm worried about is all that extra space above it .. is it too much to the right also? it looks centered to me..

well your resolution is like 1024 x 768

and my resolution is 1680 x 1050 so its going to be over the left more than on that resolution
but if its centered in that resolution then its fine, thats a very common resolution

ohh okey then .. well like what about for the people with 800x600? is there a way to not worry about left & right px & just make it centered no matter the screen resolution so it'll be centered for everyone?

no you can't make it centered in all resolutions
look if its centered on your computer
and you like it
keep it like that

haha.
Its the simpliest way to go.
Although you may be able to change your screen resolution unless thats the highest yours will go?
and if you can change it to 1024 x768
i'd center it in that resolution since almost everyone has that resolution.
