Hi!

This problem has only been brought to my attention recently. My Xanga entries cannot display Chinese characters. I can type them out and they show up properly on the Weblog Entry page but any and all characters turn into question marks after I submit a post. If I choose to edit the post the question marks stay as question marks and so I cannot recover the Chinese I typed.

I am using Internet Explorer 6.0 and have played around with the encodings to no avail. The darkplayer dropdown playlist shows up fine. They are either the correct Chinese characters or the weird symbols, but they don't change into question marks.

My Xanga is http://www.xanga.com/lazy_prodigy. Thanks. _smile.gif

There's an option to set that as your default language. mellow.gif You should also have Chinese characters installed Let me show you my computer:

It's set to English right now, but I have Japanese installed too (I type papers up and stuff in Japanese). If yours has something like that, try setting it to Chinese before you start typing.
Check out this topic too, it might help you out.
