mmm Well it's a long story, but in the end this guy said to me i dont want go out with you it's because i value good friends more than girl friends, i dont wanna wreck our friendship by going out and then end up breakin up.

so yeh... At first i was happy to hear that he cares, but the more i think about it, the more it sounds like a lame excuse for rejecting me. And the truth was i never even asked him out. ARr. okay.. let's not get into the story. BUt yeh. what do u guys think?

I think it's a good reason.
I'm guessing he sort of likes you, but likes you better as a friendly friend & not an intimate friend. I've ruined a really good friendship with a guy ( we were like best friends ) by dating him, & because he wanted to move on ( with another girl ), we just didn't communicate anymore because he broke my heart, for like two days, lol.

But I do regret it. & I'd rather that him & me were just friends. wink.gif

It's his excuse of saying he doesn't really want to go out with you.

that's a great excuse. Friendship with no relationship is better than a relationship and then breaking up and HATING eachother. And usually, the breakup will be bad and you WILL hate eachother. It's a good reason.

well, it's a good reason. he likes you too much as a friend, and he values your friendship.

It could mean different things. It depends how he meant it.He probably just wants to stay friends or he has no intention of a bf/gf relationship.

I've used that excuse before, and I actually meant it. If you think he's a true pal, he probably means it, and be happy. Don't delve too deep into it, and don't think that you are being rejected!!

I think it's a good excuse. It seems sincere. Just value him for the good friend he is and don't overthink this!

Seems sincere? Are you guys nuts? That excuse is never true in MOST cases. Its use in a meaningful way is very, very rare. Come on, I've used that excuse. I've heard many stories involving it. It's almost never what you think it is.

That happened to me, before.
I thought that it was a really lame
excuse and I didn't know the real
excuse for why he didn't want to go
out with me, but I didn't bother to ask.

That was about 5 months ago.
I guess he was speaking the true
cause, now we're really really really
good friends. He always tells me how
I'm the only one he can talk to, and
how much I mean to him, and that I
AM his best friend, basically.
It's kinda sweet. ^_____^

I dislike it greatly when people say that.

Thats why a lot of people say to others that they don't want to wreck their friendship but really their just scared of commitment or they may be..but it has to be some other reason then you don't want to wreck the friendship because if you both agree not to do that then you should still be able to be in a relationship and most relationships end on a mutual desision that they both agree its the right time.

But ive had that happen once as well.
I lived. Although i don't talk to him anymore 0_o

He could have used that as an excuse, but also, maybe not. I think he truly means what he says though.

I think it's a good reason. But like the others said, it depends on what type of guy he is. If he REALLY likes your friendship and wouldn't want to do anything to change it, then I'm guessing it's a very good reason.

Yeah, it's a good reason—if he really doesn't like you "that way". It's a bad reason if he does have feelings for you, because the best relationships start off with a basis in friendship.

he is a funny guy~~
Hmmm he has lied to me before
but im not sure if its on purpose
and i dont think he even realises that he is doing it.
Because once he told me this thing bla bla bla
and then few months later we talked about the same thing but he told me a different story. >__>:

That's not bad.
He just savors your friendship more and incase anything bad were to happy like a break-up. He wouldn't want to lose your friendship, thus messing up everything you had.

i've been in that type of situation with a girl....it's not that he's rejecting you....but that he see's you as a really cool friend...and doesn't wanna lose that....as hard as it sounds to believe... crap changes when you get into a relationship with someone....and he wants to keep you around in his life obviously...and doesn't want to lose you over hormones...that are raging....at this point in your life....
