I know many poeple who come to this site for the fact that they don't have to look through those types of layouts to get to good ones. Because honestly, those are very easy to make. The ones that are accepted take time and effort.

Most of the layouts I've seen are absolute crap. If anything, I think they should be more strict.
If you're submitting a layout like your 'east coast designz', I wouldn't bother. |

^Exactly. Looking through the current accepted layouts, I can't believe that most of them made it through. The designs are either overplayed, boring, ugly, too simple, too complex, or just...suck. A lot of them just don't scream good to me.

Is it because most of our custom module layouts aren’t easy to modify due to lack of html?
I know my friends who had a lot of trouble with custom module layouts. She only used cB layouts w/ regular module or none at all. Well, it doesnt matter. Do you know how many xanga websites provide "regular layouts"? There's cartload of 'em. |

First I would to address the issue of accepting a wider variety of layouts. We are looking to accept only the best quality layouts. While we could accept regular looking layouts but the demand is for something more complex and orginal, something only skinning can offer. Like someone else noted, regular layouts take no time to make and you can easily find codes to make your own in the xanga section.
Another thing I have taken note of is that some of you are not satisfied with the quality of layouts that have been accepted and I can agree because I have a had to go back reject several that have already been accepted. We all know that those staff members that can accept layouts and graphics have their different standards but it's always important to remember quality over quanity as Jusun said to me when mentioning this issue a while back. I hope those staff members take note of this feedback and work on it. |

Adding on to what Kiera said, not too long ago, Jusun told the staff members to up the quality of layouts that we accept. And it's true that each staff member has different standards, but at times, if others find certain layouts which have been accepted not meeting certain quality standards, they're rejected.
