making lists Options

I would like to know how to make a list with a '+' (plus sign) in front of each entry. I read in the FAQs thread upon this subject, it said that you could use

<UL Type="square">
<LI>1st Line
<LI>2nd Line
<LI>3rd Line
<LI>4th Line
</UL>

to make a list with a Square in front, but it didn't say how to use a +(plus sign).

Could someone please give me a code?
