I LOVE THE PIANO
 I've been playing for about 9 years now. It's one of my strongest passions; I could never imagine getting sick of it. My favorite composers are probably Liszt, Beethoven and Chopin, but I like listening to everything and anything classical... like Debussy or Mozart's works. I finnished my ABRSM grade 8 examination last year, and I hope I can get the Diploma sometime. Favorite pieces I've played so far are probably Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin and the 2 Concert Etudes by Liszt: S145, Gnomenreigen and also Waldersrausch. |

It really pisses me off when people say shit like, "In a band, you have to work with air, embouchure, and technique. With other instruments, like piano, all you do is push buttons." Some guy on an infomercial said that once and so does my band teacher.
Okay, so I agree, piano is, basically, pushing of buttons, but I'd like to see you master it in a week. Honestly, that pisses me off. Piano isn't just about pushing buttons, you ignorant ass. It's much more than just that. I should know since I've spent 9 years of my life trying to master it, and I'm nowhere near mastering it. Anyway, rant's finished. Right now I'm absolutely obsessed with the second movement (Danza de la moza donosa) of Ginastera's Danzas Argentinas. The chords are pretty big (my hands are small, fingers remarkably short), but when I love something and am so obsessed with a piece, I'm willing to spend as much time as I need on it. Curious, what do you other piano aficionados think of Bach's Preludes and Fugues? |

I love the Fugues. I haven't really listened to the Preludes. I like his 2nd Partita too. I learned it during Christmas. :)

Ugh, you have no idea what my love is for the piano.
<3 I love it so much, I haven't even taken lessons, but I learn ALL my songs by ear. I could play a part of almost all Flyleaf songs. :) |
