It's been prom season for the past couple of weeks... I just wanted to open a topic where we can discuss things about prom court. First of all, what do you guys think a Prom Queen and Prom King means? Is it just simply a popularity contest or is it really an election for those best people in the class or what? Anywho, what's your opinion?? who deserve this title, whats the criteria, and what does it really mean to win this title?
by the way.. if there's any prom royals in here.. come n contribute! How you reacted/felt about winning n stuff or if u know anybody who won.. just a lil story to share, maybe about the process to your victory? Oh yeah, if u want, share also about the prom royals u know and how they are and what you think made them win. Whatever it is, let's talk about PROM COURT

Ehh, I think it's more of a popularity contest. I don't think my school has that though.

I think its a great was of telling people LOOK you tottaly and completely SUCK and your not loved thats why you werent nominated for prom court. Most definantly i would have just wanted to DROP DEAD if i was like choosen for one of those things. theyre embarassing too.!

I actually have no idea who got king or queen, and prom was weeks ago. Oh well. I don't think we got to vote, even though we could go to prom..? Or maybe they did and I didn't because I somehow managed to miss the last 4 or 5 homerooms..

Prom King and Queen at my school arent' popularity contests at all. More like, someone's genius idea to raise money for the school. The candidates just sell raffle tickets and whoever sells the most wins. The most unpopular person can win out of nowhere.

I think it's kind of a cool idea. My friend Will and his girlfriend won our senior prom. Will was a nice guy and, yes, pretty popular, but he was well-liked because he was a good man. It certainly wasn't because he tried to be—the guy was actually pretty anti-social.
I think by senior year, most people drop the "I'm cool you're not" thing, and are more honest about whom they vote for. |

i dint know not all prom have prom queen and king election!
but I agree with mipadi, i think senior year everybody is just cool with eachother. Freestickers, thats somethin new i never heard of.. oh, yanners.. sorry i was just tryina keep the topic active. |
